Urology Care Foundation Scholar and Rising Star B. Price Kerfoot Receives Presidential Award
B. Price Kerfoot, MD was one of 94 researchers named by President Obama as recipients of the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers, the highest honor bestowed by the United States government on science and engineering professionals in the early stages of their independent research careers. Dr. Kerfoot is a urologist at the Veterans Affairs Boston Healthcare System and an Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Since 2004, Dr. Kerfoot has worked to develop spaced education as an effective means by which students and clinicians could improve their learning and retention of core medical concepts. This work earned Dr. Kerfoot a 2005-2010 Urology Care Foundation/Astellas Pharma, US, Inc. Rising Star in Urology Award. Dr. Kerfoot was also a 2002-2004 Urology Care Foundation Research Scholar.
