Urology Care Foundation Residency Research Awards
Introduction
Urology research is an exciting and vital medical activity. Research training during urology residency provides residents exposure to this potential career path and could increase the number of potential surgeon-scientists. Residency research support could also provide additional manpower for the department and enhance the department’s reputation and publications.
The Urology Care Foundation is proud to provide the Urology Care Foundation Residency Research Awards. This program is made possible through the support of the Urology Care Foundation, the Russell Scott Jr., MD Urology Research Fund, and Astellas Global Development. Up to four awards will be available: two awards will be funded by a grant provided by Astellas Global Development, The Urology Care Foundation will fund one award, and one award will be funded through the Scott Fund. All four awards are designed to fund an outstanding urology resident for a period of one year while the resident fulfills his or her obligation for research training.
