Urology research is an exciting and dynamic field that requires participation of many talented and dedicated individuals.  Recruitment of individuals in the early stages of their careers is essential to ensure the succession of outstanding individuals required to maintain and advance the field.  Stimulating and meaningful research experiences mentored by leaders in the field are likely to stimulate the interest needed to accomplish that goal, and could be the catalyst that leads medical students to pursue a career in academic urology.

The AUA Foundation is proud to provide the Herbert Brendler, MD Summer Medical Student Fellowship Program, designed to encourage medical students to join the field of urology through a summer fellowship program.
