Spanish Materials

The Urology Care Foundation has translated two new prostate cancer materials in Spanish. These resources below can be used to help you learn more basic information about advanced prostate cancer.

Prostate cancer is called advanced when it spreads beyond the prostate or returns after treatment. There are four stages of prostate cancer, with the last two stages as more advanced. Stage III is “locally advanced” where cancer has spread outside the prostate but only to nearby tissues. Stage IV is “advanced” where cancer has spread outside the prostate to other parts of the body.

There are many types of advanced prostate cancer based on where the cancer has spread and how it responds to treatment. While there is no cure for advanced prostate cancer, treatment can help slow down the growth and spread of cancer.
